2023 Great American Autumn movie checklist

New Movies for Great American Autumn 2023

Great American Family recently announced that their second annual Great American Autumn will kick off on September 2 and run through October 14.

Each new movie will air on Saturday nights at 8pm Eastern.

Here's a sneak peek at the line-up:

1.  Learning to Love

Learning to Love

Premieres:  September 2 at 8pm Eastern

Starring:  Ina Barrón and Philip Boyd

Synopsis:  Harry (Boyd) and his two daughters lose faith after his wife and daughters’ mom passes. The family hires a nanny and are pleasantly surprised by Steph (Barrón) who brings never-ending warmth, positivity, and faith into the home.



2.  Love Can Surprise You

Premieres:  September 9 at 8pm Eastern

Starring:  Camilla Belle and David Lafontaine

Synopsis:  Carina (Belle) writes a popular love and romance relationship column and is known as an expert in her field. When her boyfriend breaks up with her on the night Carina thought he might propose, she begins to question if she really knows anything about love. Enter new writing partner Liam Snyder (Lafontaine) who ends up helping Carina to rewrite her own love story.

3.  One Perfect Match

Starring:  Merritt Patterson and Joshua Sasse

Synopsis:  Lucy Marks (Patterson) is a professional matchmaker. When Lucy meets a handsome businessman (Sasse), she feels the spark of love for the first time, only to have her hopes dashed when she learns the man is her next client.



4.  Craft Me a Romance

Premieres:  September 23 at 8pm Eastern

Starring:  Jodie Sweetin and Brent Bailey

Synopsis:  Nicole Borden, the owner of a quaint arts and crafts store, The Crafty Companion, is faced with an ultimatum when the owner of Mitchell’s Art and Craft Supplies (Bailey) tells her she must either sell her store or be forced out of business.

5.  A Harvest Homecoming (originally titled Apples, Orchards & Romance)

Starring:  Jessica Lowndes and Trevor Donovan

Synopsis: Teacher Drew Granger (Donovan) accepts a temporary substitute job in his old hometown of Chestnut Hollow, Texas, where he meets Aiden, the proverbial new kid at school, desperate for a caring friend. While he would rather have taken a job anywhere else, Drew reconsiders Chestnut Hollow when he meets Lainie Abbott (Lowndes), the new manager of his parents’ massive apple orchard and cider mill business, and more importantly, Aiden’s mom.


6.  Swing into Romance

Starring:  Danica McKellar, David Hayden-Jones, and Gleb Savchenko

Synopsis:  When former dancer Christine Sims (McKellar) temporarily returns to her hometown in time for the town’s Fall Festival, she discovers her family’s General Store is in trouble. In her efforts to save the business, Christine will need to dust off those dancing shoes one more time, face her ex-fiancÄ—, and maybe find love in the process (Hayden-Jones).



7.  Mystery by the Book

Starring:  Alicia Dea Josipovic and Corey Sevier

Synopsis:  A bookstore owner (Sevier) is in a difficult relationship with a book cover model (Josipovic) until an antique key found in a false book unlocks their romance.

Great American Community Program Descriptions & Schedule at a Glance

  Here Are the Days You Can Expect New Episodes of Your Favorite Shows   Image:  GAC Media Some Great American Family fans are confused and asking if the programs being released through the Great American Community app will be available on the Great American Family channel. No. This wonderful, new content presented by some of your favorite stars and personalities is only available through the app. Leading up to the app's launch, Great American Family has been posting videos on social media featuring highlights from each new program.  Most of the new shows will debut on September 26, the day of the launch, but afterwards, new episodes will be released on specific days. Great American Family's "The Art of Christmas" Wardrobe Malfunction

The Art of Christmas Plot Summary A struggling artist, Liv James, begrudgingly accepts an elementary school teaching position to make ends meet after her exhibition literally goes up in flames. "Great American Valentines:" Here Are the Three Movies Premiering on Great American Family in February

Romantic Rewrite Synopsis :  A talented romance book editor is tasked with helping a mystery writer incorporate romance into the next book in his best-selling series.  He volunteers to be her faux date for her best friend's beach wedding in return for her editing skills. Starring :  Kristina Cole and Russell Quinn Premieres:  Saturday, February 4, 2023 This movie was produced by Reel One Entertainment in 2022 and has apparently aired elsewhere, as there are reviews already posted for it where viewers claim it's pretty bad with loud and terrible music playing in the background.   It must be one of those movies acquired by Great American Family, which makes it "new" for the network.  We should give it a try, but I'm not very optimistic.
