"Great American Valentines:" Here Are the Three Movies Premiering on Great American Family in February

Synopsis:  A talented romance book editor is tasked with helping a mystery writer incorporate romance into the next book in his best-selling series.  He volunteers to be her faux date for her best friend's beach wedding in return for her editing skills.

Starring:  Kristina Cole and Russell Quinn

Premieres:  Saturday, February 4, 2023


This movie was produced by Reel One Entertainment in 2022 and has apparently aired elsewhere, as there are reviews already posted for it where viewers claim it's pretty bad with loud and terrible music playing in the background.  

It must be one of those movies acquired by Great American Family, which makes it "new" for the network.  We should give it a try, but I'm not very optimistic.

A Charming Valentine

Synopsis:  Lillian is a careerist businesswoman who has a knack for turning start-ups into successful companies.  Her newest endeavor is a company called "Love Subscription," a gift box subscription service that allows its customers to never have to worry about forgetting that special occasion again.  Will Lillian's past heartbreak conflict with her new assignment, or will her growing feelings for "Love Subscriptions" founder, Grant, change her heart?

This movie is also known by its original title, The Love Subscription.

Starring:  Carolina Bartczak and Chad Connell

A Charming Valentine

This is another movie produced by Reel One Entertainment that isn't an original GAF movie, just a network premiere.

Prior reviews divulge that the first two-thirds of the movie contain light-hearted comedy, but at the final third, things get absurd with the way writers choose to create conflict--a common pitfall in rom-coms.  Bartczak's performance is judged to be average, while Connell's is "meh" though not completely terrible.

Love in Aruba

Synopsis:  At the end of a school year, teacher Amber meets Connor, a single dad searching for a tutor and nanny for his daughter, Macey.  Amber joins Connor overseas in Aruba, watching over Macey while Connor focuses on work.  Connor isn't used to having a woman in the house again, but Amber's sincerity helps bridge their awkwardness and bring the family together.

Starring:  Sashaleigha Hightower and David Shawn McConnell 

Premieres:  Saturday, February 18, 2023

Love in Aruba

Again, this movie is a prior release from 2021 but showing for the first time on GAF.  It was filmed on location in Aruba, and I'm predicting it will be the best of the three movies to premiere in GAF's February line-up.

Great American Family's "The Art of Christmas" Wardrobe Malfunction

The Art of Christmas Plot Summary A struggling artist, Liv James, begrudgingly accepts an elementary school teaching position to make ends meet after her exhibition literally goes up in flames.
