"A Merry Christmas Wish" Has All the Christmas Feels!

A Merry Christmas Wish Plot Summary A marketing executive in New York City returns to her hometown after her great-uncle passes away only to learn that he has left her the family farm. Starring:  Jill Wagner and Cameron Mathison My Movie Grade:  A- Image:  Great American Media Although there's really nothing new to see here, A Merry Christmas Wish has all the glad tidings of comfort and joy that make viewers happy. Only one negative:  Janie and her boyfriend, Charles, are planning to go on a week's vacation together in L.A.  Janie heads for Woodland Falls instead to settle her late uncle's estate, but Charles decides to go without her for business reasons.  He mentions that if she changes her mind, there will be a room waiting for her.  GAF fans expect CLEAN entertainment, not sanctioning unmarried people to shack up on vacation (even if they have their own rooms). A Great Message About Honoring Others Janie is only in Woodland Falls to pack up her uncle's belonging

5 Ways "A Christmas...Present" Teaches Wonderful Lessons on Faith

A Christmas...Present Plot Summary   A real estate agent takes her family to visit her brother and niece for Christmas to try and cheer them up for the holidays. Starring:  Candace Cameron Bure, Marc Blucas, and Paul Fitzgerald My Movie Grade:  A Image:  Great American Media Maggie Larson's brother is recently widowed, and she is determined to give him and her niece, Ashley, the best Christmas ever.  As it turns out, Paul's faith and parenting style helps her fix what is broken with her own family. A Christmas....Present is Countercultural It's rare to turn on the television these days and find a movie that encapsulates what was once considered commonplace--stories about faith and family. A Gallup poll in the 1950's concluded that nearly 95% of the American population identified as Christians.  Tenets of the Christain faith were shared by the majority, meaning we talked the same language, believed the same ideals, and shared the same morals and values.  Since the Bibl

"Love at the Christmas Contest" Is So-So

Love at the Christmas Contest Plot Summary A woman enters a Christmas tree decorating contest that her mom always dreamed of winning, only to discover she will be competing against her old flame. Starring:  Samantha Cope and Ross Jirgl My Movie Grade:  C   Image:  Great American Media What's Enjoyable About this Movie Romcom enthusiasts have seen it all, which is why we appreciate even the slightest variation to the typical movie formula.  Love at the Christmas Contest offers a few fresh particulars. Angie Waldron runs her family's nursery, taking the place of her mother who has passed away.  She gives names to all of the Christmas trees she's raising and reflects on the special occasions on which they were planted. It's quirky and fun. "Geraldine" needs extra T.L.C., so Angie gifts her to Gabby, her old flame's daughter, who promises to take care of the fragile sapling.  Gingerbread contests are superabundant in romcoms, but GAF ups the ante.  Angie'

"A Royal Christmas on Ice" Is a Miss for Great American Family

A Royal Christmas on Ice Plot Summary   A handsome prince heads to the U.S. to escape the responsibilities and formalities of royal life and falls in love with an Olympic ice skater. Starring:  Anna Marie Dobbins, Jonathan Stoddard, and William Baldwin My Movie Grade:  D+ Image:  Great American Media You Can't Win Them All Not every romcom movie is a win.  In an effort to crank out Christmas movies as fast as elves make toys, all networks produce their share of duds each season.  For Great American Family, A Royal Christmas on Ice is definitely a miss. The movie's opening holds such promise, just like Rudolph does with his advance flying before Santa disqualifies him for having a glowing nose.  Skaters gracefully glide across the ice, Christmas music plays cheerily in the background, the plot is slightly different than usual, but then everything melts into mediocrity. Here's How A Royal Christmas on Ice Falls Short The fatal flaw to the movie is the unlikelihood of Pri
